Unable to change avatar; what is maximum filesize.

Before I've been able to upload any 75x75 .gif smaller than 1MB in size no problem, but now I'm stuggling with trying to get a simple 75x75 or 74x74 one to work.

I'm not sure if a smaller filesize limit was introduced, but it shouldnt take me more than a second or two to upload a 300kb file. I don't think that is "too long" for the server to handle.

I tried uploading the avatar from my school which has admittedly a much faster connection than I do. (by almost 20x wow). However at school the situation seemed a lot more promising as the page hung on loading for quite a lot longer than my home PC ever did.

However it fails again and displays the message across my screen.

I don't understand if it would be my school effecting this, or the forum being broken, but either way it doesnt work here either :P
