Facebook adds 50 new gender options

I don't really want to headbutt this particular hornets nest, but since I'm banning people I should probably say something.

I'm against all forms of bullstuff.  Yes, social justice warrior snowflake-ism is bullstuff - but so is dismissing whole classes of loveual preference as a unnatural mental illnesses.  I'd like to think there's a healthy middle ground somewhere between tumblr and the westboro baptist church. 

Specever is now permanently banned.  If you check out his profile you can see his signature which contains a celtic cross (the adopted symbol of the white power/neo national socialist organization stormfront) and the charming "coon" tag.  What a winner.  I honestly don't know how he flew under the radar for so long.

I did also read some theory that homoloveuality in some cultures could have been evolutionarily beneficial in some remote places as to exist as a mediator between the hetero males and females in conflict. Still needs a lot of support though from what I read about it

People need to stop bitching about other people's gender identities. We are who we are and there is no problem if someone else is not exactly how you are. I know it's human nature to like to control others and think there is a right and wrong way to live, but seriously we need to get past that and become more tolerant of each other. I read a lot of this thread's pages and I was cringing and I think I died of cancer a few times from all the stupid stuff people have said. Who is it actually harming to let people define their own gender on facebook? It sure helps a lot of people who have confusing thoughts about their gender identities actually. In my opinion, people need to stop caring about what other people do as long is it does not restrict their freedom or cause harm to them. I just wanted to leave this here.

I'd like to make it clear that I reported this thread for 'ad nauseum' because it's a stupid argument, not because I'm a neo-national socialist family man lol. I like these new Facebook gender options, but I think that a good deal of them are sort of redundant.

I have several feminist friends who I talk about this stuff with, and the whole gender identity movement gets tons of friction since they're trying to simultaneously redefine English, gender, and loveuality(each hard enough on their own). With the complexity and obfuscation in all this terminology, it's probably going to be decades before the movement accomplishes any sort of change, which is sorta sad.
