I know I'll miss Ephi, he was a good mod.

However I feel the only way there could be another mod is if Badspot would bring in an outside person not in any way related to Blockland to be a mod. The person should have never associated with the forums or game itself.

The reason no member of the forums or game could be a mod is they would play favorites. If a friend of theirs is spamming the forums, maybe they would give them a warning instead of a ban. If somebody they don't like made a simple mistake, they could be looking at a ban forever. We have already developed an opinion of people on this game we like and don't like. The same goes for members in the game who are not on the forums. Somebody may spam their server and get banned from the forums because of it.

I know I'd admit I wouldn't be able to do it, and the same reason applies to everyone else. In my opinion if you say you would be the perfect mod and none of the bias-ness would apply to you, you are lying.

I'd have to disagree.  Someone on the outside wouldn't know how moderation would work here.  There are written rules and unwritten rules, and unwritten standards by which all current moderators follow.  Someone on the outside would not have a grasp on that, and while I agree do the most part about the bias thing being a problem, there are probably some users here who would make great candidates for moderators.
