Author Topic: Why do people use anti-perspirant?  (Read 4024 times)

everything is chemicals.
I could go off on a whole rant about how people say "x and y has chemicals in it so that means it's bad for you."

water is chemicals
keyboard is chemicals
abstract idea is chemicals
words are chemicals
consciousness is chemicals
god is chemicals
philosophy is chemicals

You are repeating what I just said.

keyboard is chemicals
abstract idea is chemicals
words are chemicals
consciousness is chemicals

philosophy is chemicals

Well thoughts are chemical reactions

I don't think he was being sarcastic

I was.
in that case you're just dumb because all of the things are either chemicals, made by chemicals, or caused by chemicals

I thought it was only used to make your sweat not smell terrible, no? It doesn't stop sweat, it just makes it smell nice. At least, that's what I thought.

I'm a very sweaty (and smelly) person, especially from my armpits (its like a goddamn ocean of piss) so I use it to make myself smell nicer and apparently it does stop some sweat, at least for me, I've had less sweaty armpits when I use it.

that is deodorant. antiperspirant makes you not sweat (as much)

OP really doesn't know how people work, does he. No wonder you don't know how women work.
//hi-fives

i thought deodorant and antiperspirant were the same thing...

Usually they're both packaged together. We live in 2014, not 500 BC. We have air conditioning and a society that doesn't stop you from wearing thin clothing when it's hot outside. There's really no use for sweating from your underarms, antiperspirant is a godsend. Deodorant just helps you not smell like stuff.

Before you draw conclusions, please read the full post.
Anti-perspirant is handicapped. Deodorant I can understand, but literally making your body stop sweating is unintelligent. Your body uses sweat to cool down, and people are just stopping that from happening. Do you use anti-perspirant?
this is like saying you should vomit all the time to keep your stomach clean
yes this is technically true but in todays society it is A not hard to cool yourself down and B not very socially acceptable to be a sweatbag on legs
