Too thin. Logo's should imbue bold certainty. Just as an example, the black Impact BLOCKLAND FORUMS on this page. Stands out. Google's colourful logo on a white background, stands out. Etc.

Yours on the other hand looks like a 90s website logo.

Go easy on the effects, simple is usually better, and like I've previously stated, make it stand out.
