He was basically the George Bush of his day, except he was a warmongering democrat. Got us into a war Mexico just so he could get more of Texas and claim all of Mexico's north Western territory such as California, Arizona, Nevada, an Colorado. All he had to do was send some federal troops over to scar the Mexican army into shooting back.
George Washington. First president, farmer, retired general, modest man, warned us of a bi-partisan system, European politics, and growing debt. Pretty much everyone took his words for granted as ancient history that would never happen again and look what happened:
1. We have two major political parties that can't agree on anything
2. An ever growing debt
3. We are fighting wars for other countries while Europeans bash us for being to imperialistic
