Author Topic: locked out of pc  (Read 883 times)

ok, so i have windows XP on my pc and the only user account i have access to is a limited account. i have two admin accounts on the PC. the first one is the one i used everyday, the second is the default administrator account that is in safe mode. both these accounts have passwords and my brother changed them and he says he doesn't remember what he changed them to. so basically i am completely locked out of my computer, minus the one limited account. i need to find some way to gain access to these admin accounts. i have parted magic installed but i cant seem to find chntpw on it.

i dont have the money to buy some kind of password unlocking program and the disk drive on my PC doesnt recognize stuff so i cant do anything that requires that.

lol

exactly

I don't think there's much you can do :c
maybe your mother will get you a new PC since it was your brother's fault?

Just buy a new hard-drive.

Throw your pc at him so it opens, while your at it kill him too

Re-install the OS, no need for new hardware.

Let's consider the guy's situation here.
He's on a limited account, which implies that his parents probably don't trust him enough. I doubt they'd let him re-install the OS, and if he did, he'd probably get accused of trying to break the computer.

i was thinking i would try the parted magic chntpw thing. if someone could explain to me how to use it on parted magic then i wouldnt have to reinstall the os (Not sure if i have the instal disk anymore anyways)

you're all dumb

use konboot on a usb instead of a disc

Solution: Ask parents to do it for him.
