Assuming you're wearing long sleeves, or you find some way to stylishly pass it off.

I know the video is like a year old, but it seems like they're still making some kind of progress.

I think it's pretty neat.

I saw the guy playing a shooter game and instantly thought. "Yeah right I bet it that works just as well as the kinnect"

But this is Kinect... everywhere.

As cool as that sounds, I'm sure it's actually only fun for a short time lol. This kind of stuff is always being made and people get all hyped up til they realize how gimmicky it really is. I guess it's not bad though since $150 is the same price as the kinect (or was I don't keep up with that.)

Ok so

Myo + kinect + omni + Oculus + sixense + PrioVR + ARAIG + videogameguncontrollerthing

I'm trying to put together as much overkill as possible.

Well forget "fun".

Think of the pranks and practical usage in daily life it could have.

This thing seems less gimmicky than a majority of the other gadgets as of late.

And with a price like that (kinect everywhere) who wouldn't want it?

And oh God the military applications. You could snap and set off an armed explosive.

I'm happy with what we have already (controllers and buttons)
Why are we so determined to get rid of these things, they work great.

You know you're a good promoter when you start your spiel with "well forget about having fun"
Besides, maybe some people would rather set off their explosives with a kinect? I'm saying you wont ever do this.

Why are you guys tunnelvisioning on the "gaming" aspects?

I love buttons and controllers. I can't imagine comfortably playing games without them, but this seems really neat for other uses.

Yeah... But I'm not an official spokesman anyway.

military application

I just don't see why it's this race to do stuff we can already do with complete ease in a new and less effective way.
What real practical use does it have? I can't really think of anything that I would be able to do with this and not the original device made to do the task in the first place.
military application
I think having an explosive rigged to a muscle movement that could happen at any time is a bit dangerous compared to just having a button to push, and I don't think the military cares much about it being more fun to blow things up.

I honestly can't think of a single use though. This thing has absolutely no practical use. Yeah it'd be really cool to forget around with but does it have any literal use?

I don't think anyone's talking about just the gaming aspects. This thing wouldn't work as a mouse, a controller, a remote, or anything like that. I imagine putting it on and syncing it to stuff isn't fun either.

I guess you guys are right. This is just a bad idea and has no potential whatsoever. Let's give up on progressing and finding new ways to do things and just stick with what we have now because it works just fine the way it is. bastards

Yeah that's exactly what we're saying. I'm not even going to counter reply to this lol I just feel like trying to explain it is a waste of time.

There's nothing to counter. I just summed up everything you said.

Thanks for that.
