Author Topic: The Philosophy Game  (Read 596 times)

Apparently, if you click on the first link on any Wikipedia page not in parentheses or info boxes, and keep doing so: you will eventually always end up on the philosophy page. This game has no page limit like Riddlerpedia does, so your results can end up very long. Post results here. If it's too long you can just post the first page and then philosophy (Oak tree - Philosophy)
Here's mine to get us started:
Just Breed - tactical role playing game - video game - electronic game - game - play (activity) - psychology - applied science - science - knowledge - facts - proof - necessity and efficiency - logic - reasoning - consciousness - quality - property - modern philosophy - philosophy

not always

just quite most of the time

Let's see...

Junior (Royksopp album) - electronic music - electronic musical instrument - musical instrument - sound - vibration - oscillation - time - dimension - physics - natural science - science [and here we go] - knowledge - facts - proof (truth) - necessity and sufficiency - logic - reasoning - conciousness - quality (philosophy) - property (philosophy) - modern philosophy - PHILOSOPHY

I'll try it another time...

Burj Khalifa - skyscraper - storey - building - structure - pattern recognition - machine learning - artificial intelligence - computer science - science [and here we go again] - knowledge - facts - proof (truth) - necessity and sufficiency - logic - reasoning - conciousness - quality (philosophy) - property (philosophy) - modern philosophy - PHILOSOPHY

Looks like it's true that it ends up in philosophy...

This isn't true, it obviously all ends in reality, the first link on philosophy.

This isn't true, it obviously all ends in reality, the first link on philosophy.
Actually, if you do this starting with the philosophy page, here's how it goes:
Philosophy - reality - existence - world - human - hominini - tribe (biology) - biology - natural science - science - knowledge - facts - proof (truth) - necessity and sufficiency - logic - reasoning - conciousness - quality (philosophy) - property (philosophy) - modern philosophy - philosophy
So it's a loop.

So it's a loop.
So it doesn't actually end ever.
No one wins. :(

so i think we should count the last word before going into a loop because of that

So, for the game "Earthbound," it would end in "World" because the first link there is "human," which should be purple.

i did reach philosophy though

This is really surprising, too! I tried to enter something stupid (Britney Spears, to be exact) and this still worked. I wonder what the reasoning behind this is?
