Author Topic: problems with ubuntu  (Read 1154 times)

So I installed ubuntu on a pc but for some reason when I boot it up and log on, it lags realy bad and freezes up my pc. I have 1g of ram and the minumun is to run ubuntu is 500mb. I dont know why its lagging really bad.

But seriously, Ubuntu is a pretty heavy linux OS, try to install fedora or debian.

I'm going to say that the GNOME release of Fedora is probably just as bloated if not more bloated than Ubuntu 13.10. Go with Debian, or an XFCE/LXDE release of Fedora.

xubuntu might be more well suited
