Status update: I have 4 people who are interested, but only 1 or 2 can actually put up the money right now...
I'll take this opportunity to highlight a few things. Once I have my 4 people, I'll find the next day in my schedule that I'm free for a whole day to dedicate exclusively to this service.
I'll take $8 from each person, buy a server scaled appropriately, and configure everything. This shouldn't take long seeing as I have a few scripts that can automate almost the entire procedure.
That entire day, I'll have these 4 people on steam or whatever and they can test various facets of the service. I'll fix the bugs that appear, and hopefully by the day after that I can open the service up to more people.
I'll get some more clients, test out my VPS resource scaling mechanism, make sure everything is still stable, and then open it up totally publicly.
That's the plan, that's the schedule. The next two days I'm totally free are tomorrow and the day after. If I can get 4 ready clients in that amount of time, we can speed this process up quite a bit.
