Author Topic: zealot is very sick - went a doctor, going to NYC  (Read 6990 times)

I'm writing this on an Ipad, because I've been on the couch trying to sleep for 2 days now. Yesterday my stomach starting feeling really bad, and I threw up in the toilet. I thought it would feel better afterwards but it didn't. It kept on hurting, and I've thrown up like 20 times now. Literally anything I eat I vomit so I am incredibly thirsty/hungry because I basically haven't eaten or drunken for 35 hours. My stomach is incredibly painful, and I've tried to take medicine for it, but I instantly throw it up. Just a second ago I vomited into my mouth, and I didn't have time to get to the bathroom, so I ran out the nearby back door and just threw up in the grass.

It's really painful because I have nothing more to throw up. It's almost all bile or small sips or water I've had, so for the most part I sit there choking and vomiting saliva for like 3 minutes, trying to breath. It feels better for half an hour or so after you vomit, so I can stand to write this. At most times it's painful to look at a screen, so I just lie their and try to sleep. It's not very easy because my stomach feels awful and the pain spikes whenever I move.

ugh

It's day 3. I woke up at about 3:00 AM and threw up, then went back to sleep. I woke up at 6 and tried to go back to sleep, but ended up lying in bed for 2 hours because I couldn't.

My stomach feels a little better, although the pain seems to have spread down my thighs. I've had a little bit of water in small sips, but I usually throw it up.
Also, I have a pretty bad fever.

I haven't thrown up in a long time now, and it feels like it's getting better, so I think I'm gonna just wait. If it continues, I will probably drink a bunch of water, which will hopefully splash whatever is in my stomach around, and allow me to throw it up easier.

Also, thanks to everyone in this thread.

I'm not going to the doctor. I'm pretty sure it's an incurable stomach virus, and it's been getting better recently. It'll probably be over soon anyway. I've been sleeping almost all day, which is nice, because previously it hurt so much that I couldn't fall asleep.
It'll probably be over on Monday or Tuesday.

The main thing I'm worried about is just not infecting other people. It's really not fun.
Also, my fever is over.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think some wild cats gave it to me. A few hours before it happened, we were getting food downtown. When we came back to our car, a bunch of stray cats were sleeping on our hood. Maybe it's because it's snowing here and the hood was heated, but I tried to get them to move, and they wouldn't. I ended up picking them up and setting them down onto the sidewalk, near the car.

The fur was matted and full of nasty things.

So, I was feeling really bad, like I was about to throw up. I went into the bathroom, and for some reason, the vomit, instead of coming out of my mouth, shot out of my nose. I'm not even kidding. I stuck my nose upsidedown against a faucet just to rinse it all out, because it smelled so awful.

So for almost all of yesterday, I felt great. The sickness seemed to have passed and it looked like I was getting better. It was a little bad in the morning, but after 9 or so I got much better. I was feeling great. Until later in the night, when I suddenly started vomiting rapidly. I had barely eaten at all the day before, but suddenly everything I did eat I found repulsive and awful. I vomited a ton for a few hours, and felt very sick. My fever also came back.

I had to go to sleep after I threw up, because you feel better for half an hour after doing so. Most times it's really painful and difficult to sleep. I was super dehydrated, but any liquids made my stomach pains spike and feel awful. I eventually ended up just sucking on ice for an hour or so.

Anyway, this morning, I feel a little better, but I'm scared it will re-surge.  I'm being careful not to eat anything, and to take very little water.
We've been snowed in for awhile, so school has been cancelled, and I also can't get out to see a doctor or emergency care or anything if I need to. School wont be cancelled on Wednesday though, and even if I do feel better, I don't think I can go. It re-surged so suddenly last night, and for the most part I spent the entire day watching TV on a couch. Doing work and running around the building would probably make it even worse, and I definitely don't want to infect anyone.

Ow.

The snow is lightening up, I'm going to the doctor.

Well, I went to the doctor, and she said that even if I'm not sick anymore, I shouldn't be eating much and only taking light foods, and no dairy or carbonated things or sugar, because the "tips of my evolli are damaged" or something. She confirmed that it was a stomach virus, and gave me some prescriptions for nausea and stomach pain. The main thing I had been drinking was lemonade, because people said it would help, but apparently that was making me sicker.

So I'm taking pills now, and I'm on a diet of saltine crackers and fruit juice.

This is already basically a blog post, so I'm gonna add this in. My dad called a few hours ago, and said that he was gonna be flying to New York City on March 29th to teach a writing seminar, and offered to bring me. He said he'd take me to Broadway. I agreed.

He's gonna be flying in from a different town he was teaching in, in Iowa, so I'll have to fly alone. Never done that before.

you have aids

you should see a doctor

you have aids
i'm going to go on a high note and say op has aids

because op has symptoms that coordinate with aids (vomiting, stomachaches, fatigue, painful swallowing), we can estimate that op contracted aids about 1.5-2 weeks ago.

op, do you happen to have short-term memory loss and/or brown town sores?

I hope you feel better, you might need to go to the ER if it doesn't get any better in a few days.

go to the doctor

they'll have to give you something if you can't take anything yourself

Get hold of a loving doctor, now.
