My teachers give kids probably about 650 chances before taking their phones away.  I'm really sick and tired of it.  They let the kids do what they want, then they warn them, and warn them again, and warn them again, and warn them again, and warn them again, and warn....

Most of my teachers back in 8th grade did that. Except Mr. Burke. He was hard on folks for the right reasons. I was in his study hall and it was great; we were the only study hall in the grade where you could sit down and actually get work done.
Also some guy in my high school apparently got mad one year and lit his test on fire. They didn't do much about it... at least, until they opened his backpack and found knives and marijuana and lots of illegal stuff.

Our school they never take them off us, they tell us to put it in our bags or face detention, the reason for this is because if the phone is stolen or dropped/lost then the school has to repay it ( Not because the schools poor or anything just because it could be spent on other things)

Doesn't the school realize you can buy a $4000 laptop computer, bring it in, and burn it to nothing but ashes and electronic dust?
Do they still have to repay that?
