Author Topic: Someone tried to access my google account from Iowa  (Read 1047 times)

Someone from a small town in stuffforget County, Iowa tried to break into my Google account which is poor luck for me because I use the same password for everything. Changing my FB password, and my Forums password. My Google password is already changed, not by much but took it from weak to strong, so I'm happy about that. Are there any other things I could do to protect against more damage?

Use a program such as https://lastpass.com/ to randomize all your passwords, make backup accounts and transfer any/all info onto there if anything else goes wrong.

burn your computer
I've got my lighter. What are the most flammable parts?

fans

When I went to the Bahamas I had multiple incidents of people trying to access my account for months after the trip. The thing is that they all show up as Florida because all of the internet in the Bahamas is actually sent by fiber across the bottom of the ocean from the United States.

I have a feeling that there isn't any real network security in most 2nd world countries.

The parts doused in gasoline.

I use the same password for everything.
no stop that is bad why do people do this

all you have to know to be able to do this is someone's email
why would you change all of your passwords because of someone knowing your email

obviously it would be different if they actually logged into it from somewhere else

Because remembering 50 different decent quality passwords is impossible without writing it down or putting it on a password manager that you have to have another password for.
