Author Topic: I saved my computer from near imminent death  (Read 483 times)

So I had made a topic about how I got a corrupt BIOS Flash and my computer wouldnt go into post. Normally this is game over right? Wrong. My BIOS chip was replaceable, so I went to the ASUS E-store and purchased a new BIOS chip with the latest firmware. Got the FedEx package this afternoon and was able to reunite with my lovely computer, and am posting this topic from it. :)

Moral of the story: if you forget up your BIOS, and the chip is removable, GET A NEW CHIP. Costs a lot less and is a very small hassle.

Yeah I was experiencing problems with other things beforehand that I figured "OK MAYBE ITS TIME TO UPDATE MY BIOS" and then ded. Dunno if it will help my previous problems now that I have the latest firmware PROPERLY installed, but at least my computer isn't bricked
