It would be cool if you could see a map of "cities", and travelling to them would make you join the server.
I had a similar idea of 1 server that you join, and you can join other servers within it. Too complicated due to you need a client and server mod; gave up quickly lol.

This isn't dead. I've been busy with life problems. Anyways I did work on the app a little bit. I'll post pictures when it's fixed up a bit. After that I will work on the actual mod.

No need to worry about lost data anymore! Would be nice to gear this to accept trusted stats exchanges and store them for later exchange.

What?

scriode, don't make an app - just make a mobile web interface. cross platform, arguably easier to develop...

I am not experienced with web interfaces to do that. I imagine I could get it done eventually through tutorials I guess...

I agree, plus not everybody has a smartphone (ME OMG)

but im getting one soon so ya

anyways Scriode if you would get on Steam I am usually on that instead of Skype.

I will look into it. If anyone wants to design said stuff, contact me for what is needed on it.

-Edit-
I will be doing a web interface that will be for any platform

Sorry for the lack of everything. I will continue once finals are over. This is not completely dead

Lol, not even reading anything here, but if you do want an iOS app you'll need people to jailbreak to use that cuz the chances of you getting it onto the app store is slimmer than a hair.
Why do you say that? If the app's even halfway decent, it should be fine; tons of absolute crap apps make it into the store all the time.

I don't think it's worth the effort for me to go and learn Objective C just to do it.

I will start it after finals. The app will no longer be supported because I am going to reconstruct the server for the web interface. Available on all devices that connect to the web. There will be proper mobile views and desktop views.

  • So you are going to make the add-on open source?     Probably not, but who knows. Only time can tell
you do realize TorqueScript is non-compiled, non-obfuscated, and non-encrypted don't you? literally anyone can view your sourcecode simply by looking in the add-on package

to be fair there is an obfuscated format (.cso) but I don't think you can use it for Add-Ons and I have no idea how you perform the obfuscation

.dso*

There is no known way to compile our torkscript as dso, and if someone did manage to ship a compiled add-on badspot would surely get rid of it quickly.

Probably he didn't mean 'open source', but 'publicly released'.
