I have a oval red patch of skin on my thumb, about as big as a 10 cent piece, its burning, like when you stick your hand into a flame but not quite as painfull, there are two small indents next to each other and im in Australia, so it is possible to be a spider. Any ideas Dr.Forums?

And yeah, if you suspect it may be a spider bite and you're in Australia it might be best to go and see a Doctor about it.

it sounds like a blister. idk how healthcare works in australia but in the US I wouldn't pay to see a doctor over what I'm pretty sure is a blister. even if it was a spider bite it wouldn't do you much good to see a doctor if you didn't have the spider with you, or at least know what species it was. but it probably isn't, and if it was, you'd surely have more symptoms if it were serious
