Author Topic: blogland post something - Water main break in my neighborhood  (Read 522 times)

Today I woke up, got ready for school, when my Dad noticed something. The toilet was dripping inside, and the water wouldn't come out of the sink. We already suspected it was a water main break.

And when I left my apartment and went to the bus stop, what do I see? A truck with pipes and such. Yes, something was happening. Went back to school, got back, tried again. Water did come out of the KITCHEN sink, however it was very cloudy. I didn't drink it because it probably had gross stuff and dirt in it.

Now I have to drink Coca Cola Zero Cherry which I hate. ugh.

eww coke zero
that really sucks

Run the water till the cloudiness goes away?

Run the water till the cloudiness goes away?

wouldn't work right now, lines are still open
they literally have all the fire hydrants open on our street

Somewhere between 2006-09 when I lived in another house, the toilets all of a sudden started overflowing all over the place.  Yeah for some reason, my mom was mad.  After shutting off their pipes (and they still kept bubbling and groaning), some guys knocked on the door and said they were doing something down in the sewers, and to not be alarmed if our plumbing acted weird (nope, didn't notice...).

Started to suffer psychological trauma since our toilet's cistern had some sort of problem meaning it was constantly releasing water into the bowl.

That constant loud high-pitched sound of water streaming from a pipe was unbearable.
