Possibly.
So, I finally got the replacement part for my quad. Connected it and stuff, and for some reason, the quadcopter was lurching backwards when I throttled it up.
I tried and tried to find any issues with it, yet none of them solved the issue.
I finally decided to use the old propeller and attach it to the new motor- and that solved the issue.
What the hell?
Neither of the propellers had any cracks or anything.

I dont know how much the forum knows about quadcopters. I have a feeling its not a lot.

The new prop probably weighed more or was shaped differently from the old one (or could've weighed less, depending on whether it was on the front or back).

Got a camera and a scale, OP?

No, the propeller literally came with the quadcopter itself.
The difference, if any, is definitely insignificant- you'd never notice it

maybe you just put the new one on wrong

helicopter engineering is a somewhat precise art

possibly but unlikely, I can't fathom how this even happened

maybe use a cat instead

its because your holding W or S before the green brick flashes

A few things that could've been different:

1. Props are different weights.
2. Props are different pitches.
3. Props are different shapes.
4. Any combination of these.

On a quadrotor, it's best to replace all the props at once if there is a chance (or guarantee) that they are different than the current props. The quad must be balanced to function properly.

this actually happened.  I guy taxidermy his cat and turned it into a quadcopter
