Author Topic: Why don't they just make google glass look like regular glasses.  (Read 1173 times)

Just read this:

And wondered if the solution would just to replace the frames with those of actual glasses.

idk, wasn't there someone here who had google glass?

Brian Smith

because it's THE FUTUREEEEEE

yeah it should look like white sports shades or something

Because today's kids are too kool 4 lenses

so they're distinguishable and unique

Does it really matter
If it was like blocking their entire face sure yeah that would
Be annoying
But it's like partially blocking their eye.
If they wanna watch tentacle research while pissing next to you in
The guys bathroom, that's their business (and we'll all silently judge him anyways)

Besides, in business matters I can see that being rude anyways cause it's like having your Bluetooth headset in

Yeah, I'd assume you'd take it off anytime you would take off headphones.
They should really just insert this into normal glasses.

I would imagine that's a few years away from being a practical possibility

But I agree that, In the end, that's best.

So we can be like this guy:

My friend won some in one of those mall contests that usually are considered scams to get personal info. They're only useful for GPS though. He lets me use them when I travel, and I travel a lot. I've driven to Maine, Pennsylvania, NH, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, NYC, etc. while wearing them for GPS.

Owned them and returned them to buy a laptop. They are virtually useless to anyone who doesnt have a gps

God damn pussies.
I love the idea of Google Glass. It's not hard to see if they are recording or not, it has activation lights.
It's stuff like this that stops progress. Not ready my ass.
I like the current design.

Also, is it funny to anybody else that Yahoo Tech is covering this about Google's innovative product?

I thought the google glass was made for everyone to kick in the ribs (make fun of for people who don't know how to work a metaphor) until it went away
did anyone actually buy it

and then what, people will get paranoid of random people wearing glasses and ask if they're google glasses?
changing the appearance will most likely not change the attitude towards it, [at least to me] it's not creepy because of the appearance but it's creepy because you don't know when they could be recording you and everything you do

camouflaging them as glasses would make me even more creeped out by a lot more people tbh
