If you have very few views, then you cant make any money. You need at least 1000 subscribers and a good amount of weekly views or total views to be qualified to become a YouTube Partner. Then again, if you aren't doing it for the money - then it isn't worth getting involved.

no
unless you get to the point where you have over like 50k views on a thing then you're going to waste more money than you gain
it's just a very expensive ego trip that way

yeah you just make videos and upload them and put ads on the videos. they keep some of the ad revenue and the rest goes to you
dangit carg you could've saved yourself by saying "the money spent on electricity spent recording"
but that's irrelevant to being a partner

What about custom thumbnails?

What about custom thumbnails?
unless I'm a partner and don't know about it, you don't need to be a partner to be able to use that

but that's irrelevant to being a partner
if you can't pay the bills you can't go online and therefore you can't be partners!

What about custom thumbnails?
you have to input your phone number to open this function

unless I'm a partner and don't know about it, you don't need to be a partner to be able to use that
You need to be a partner to use custom thumbnails however there is a way to use thumbnails without gaining a real partnership.
