Author Topic: THERE WAS A SNAKE IN MY BEDROOM  (Read 9808 times)

Snake bites don't bleed a lot. At least they don't in Australia, one of the things they tell you to do when treating one is to mark the bite area on the bandage so they can find it later. The bites are also painless, and its only when the symptoms start to set it you know what has happened.

Beat me to it. Have any of y'all even seen a snake bite? It leaves two clean puncture holes, which hardly bleed at all.

Also, he said it was five inches. Even if a snake did leave a mess like that, I can guarantee it isn't a five inch one.

Depending on where OP lives, there's a good chance that it is a venomous snake, even at that size. We have one here in the Midwest called the Copperhead.

do you by chance live in Australia

From memory, I'm pretty sure rattlesnakes, copperheads, and cottonmouths are the only venomous snakes around here. Not sure if there are minority ones though, won't be surprised if there are. Also, OP lives in New York pretty sure.

if it's venomous

The solution is obviously.

Get a transparent box.
Put the box over the snake.
Turn the box around.
Close the box with the snake in it.
Put the box with the snake on your desk.
Count how many days the snake survives without food.
Dispose dead snake.

If you're gonna be handicapped and camp in your hallway, just call animal control.
