Author Topic: One of my friends tried to kill themselves.  (Read 1679 times)

Someone at one of my past churches killed himself. He was in study and stuff, and no one is quite sure what drove him to do it. He was 19 and already owned a mowing company, a Nova SS (I have a picture of it with him next to it), and his own house.
Some people just burn out from all the stress they have take from work, school, their family, life expenses, society, ect. A lot of people will give some kind of plea for help or start showing signs that will lead to their demise. In many cases people are really good at hiding their depression because they don't want their family to worry about them.

So what was her "reason"?

because they don't want their family to worry about them.
Or because they think no one cares.

Ot: Sorry about that OP, I hope she gets better soon.

First world problems like she got a white iPhone instead of the black one.

Do you honestly believe that's what happened in this scenario, man?

I accidentally took a double dose of Advil once.
They still hold an annual memorial service.
rip

What am I supposed to believe? That she has actual problems? Yeah right.

Because all children have wonderful lives, right? I mean, it's not like there are bullies or anything.

That's the most insensitive thing I've ever heard.

Last time I've checked, bullying, schoolwork/homework induced stress, going through puberty, etc all count as problems regardless of age or gender or what have you.

She's in the psych ward mate. Ask what their visiting hours are, she's probably on 1 to 1 and it gets lonely fast. Ask if you can bring a blanket or food because both suck at the hospital

Were her parents complete dipheads? Did she have friends? Was she really bullied and had no one to go to or was she just diranged. For someone to want to kill themselves they have to be:
1. In a lot of pain, like a lot
2. Not even know what Self Delete is. You can't come back.
3. Have no way to express her depression or her problems and can't stand up against the waves.
4. Is mentally ill.

kids these days, i'm tellin ya

also i'm not trying to be funny, this is getting ridiculous.

I'm sure it was a black one instead of a white one.

Throw in social issues for that person, which we don't know, and It's very possible for a young girl to be driven to try and kill themselves.
You guys are so dumb. People do not kill themselves because of the ordinary pressures of school, work, etc. Sure, that stuff can suck but it's not enough to drive a healthy person to kill themselves under most circumstances. What causes people to commit Self Delete is a combination of those stresses and mental illness, but mostly the latter. If it was possible to collect data on this kind of stuff (it's not because people hide mental illnesses really well, as some other people have said), I'm sure you'd find that 90%+ of the people who commit Self Delete during their youth have some sort of chronic mental illness.

If you think I'm being insensitive, I'm not. People wouldn't kill themselves nearly as often if society understood mental illness better, and that's something I can personally guarantee.
