Can you use the SD card that came with a 3DS to install Letterbomb on a wii?

Today I was trying to install Letterbomb on my wii (Look it up if you don't know what it is) with the SD Card I bought for my DSi but when I try to click on the Installation letter in the mail menu, My Wii froze.
I know it's not the right SD card now but, is it possible to use a 3DS one?
I know you can only have so much space on a 3DS but I want to do this.

I remember it saying on a tutorial that certain SD cards don't work with the installation for some reason.

I also don't want to lose all of my stuff on my 3DS because I did something stupid.

Sometimes you have to format it, I think. Back up all your research files before you do so, I guess.

If it works with the 3DS, it works with the Wii. No formatting needed.

As long as the MAC address is proper, you shouldn't have any problems.

I hate posting multiple times in a row but, I'm guessing it's a formatting problem.
In the tutorial video I was watching, A lot of people were saying the SD card type doesn't matter.
I think i'm forgetting something.

I'll also go over the basic steps, have you tried the calendar on the message board to look for the letterbomb? Is your Wii on the proper date? Did you select the proper system menu at the hackmii page?
