Can you use the SD card that came with a 3DS to install Letterbomb on a wii?

My Wii only displayed the message after I pushed the HOME button.

I'll also go over the basic steps, have you tried the calendar on the message board to look for the letterbomb? Is your Wii on the proper date?

Yes, And I've got it. it just freezes.

The freezing is odd, make sure your boot.elf isn't corrupt and ensure you got the one designated for your region.
Since it shows up, it's clearly not a formatting problem as the Wii is reading it fine. After you activate it is when it freezes, which is a problem loading the boot.elf.

How do you check if it's corrupt?

I'd do a hash check with SHA256 but you probably don't have anything installed that compares hashes.
You might as well just redownload the HBC installer and put it on the SD card.
