Author Topic: Creating fake players  (Read 708 times)

Is there any way that, on the server side, you can create fake player objects from a script? I need to do this to test RAM, CPU and network usage.

The only way you can test this is to actually open several Blockland clients for what you need. You can't replicate it by creating a server sided script otherwise the network usage would be utterly pointless.

You could just create AIPlayers.

It wouldn't raise the network usage though, which Hammer wants to monitor.

It's okay, the RAM usage is enough for me.
Will an AIclient use as much RAM as a real player?

Very doubtful.

Unfortunately, I only have about 6 GB of free RAM between my 2 computers (the OS and other applications take up the rest).
So that means my max. capacity for testing RAM usage is 10 players :(.
