I like both, but my cats can be little bastards and they also stuff in the house since they're so lazy.

My dog is dumb, but he's got a much more affectionate nature, which I've found is more common with doggies.

This is hard...I've grown up with dogs literally my entire lifetime so I like them. I like the mystery behind cats though too. My views:

Dogs: loud, obnoxious, loving, messy (including bodily messes...), playful, no concept of personal space
Cats: orderly, like to puke, boring, plenty of personal space, quiet (usually), wouldn't want more than one
