And yet nobody has erupted into an outright stuffstorm
The sodium fluoride in tap water is found in trace amounts and doesn't pose any risk to human health. On the contrary, it actually improves dental health in populaces that rely heavily on municipal water supplies for drinking water.

or I could just drink purified water and brush my teeth regularly like a normal person.

1. The Neo-national socialist thing is overhyped by the Russian side (who have a outstanding record of freedom of information and press). Remember, this was initially created by Ukraine's failure to join the EU. I would say that there is some fear of Fascism taking over, and that it shouldn't be overlooked, but the US would not allow an anti-Semitic government to take over since we have Israel as an ally. Anyways, most news outlets don't want to show that footage intentionally (this has been the case with many wars and conflicts, just a trend in history), and they have a right to choose what they broadcast anyways.

2.I still think the internet neutrality outrage is paranoia. Even though unjust restrictuion seems more likely now, the laws were initially established on BS justification, and you have to remember that a free market technically exists in case ISPs do actually restrict the internet, so the smarter ones decide to actually provide the service that people want.

3.Also, I learned nothing about the fluoride thing. Tell me exactly how that has changed?

at least he would have different ideas

'Purified water' costs a lot of money, and poor people tend to skimp on expenses like dental checkups and cavity fillings. It seems pointless to put sodium fluoride in tap water from the perspective of a middle-class teenager, but as a public health measure it's actually an excellent program.

Awesome, can they just not do it to normal, middle-class cigarettes like me?

Why do you care? Like I already said, sodium fluoride is not harmful to your health in the amount found in tap water. You probably can't even discern by taste whether water contains it or not.

even in harmful doses sodium fluoride doesn't cause neurological damage. where are you even going with this?

Oh, and read all of this, especially the parts where it says "tooth decay was coming down before fluoridation started", and "the studies that launched fluoridation were methodologically flawed".

Okay yeah, that's a megadose of sodium fluoride. Basically every organ in your body is gonna fail if you start shoveling handfuls of chemically-pure sodium fluoride down your throat. I'm talking about the lower-range of harmful doses where you can get dental fluorosis, ulcers, etc.

What you're missing here is that the fluoride put in tap water is really really dilute. Like, there's probably only a milligram or so of it in several liters of tap water. To get the same amount of fluoride found in tooth paste, you'd have to extract fluoride from like tens of gallons of tap water.

It's easy to make the mistake of thinking that if a chemical is harmful at one dose, it's harmful at all doses. This is not the case. In fact, for any chemical you can think of, there is both a safe dosage and an unsafe dosage. It's like the first rule of toxicology.

These anti-fluoride nuts are just conspiracy theorists with a poor comprehension of toxicology. I'd say ignore them.
