I dont bother assaulting at all in Ck2, other than when I desperately need to.

EU4 is a bit more forgiving when it comes to assaults though.

127,437 men going up against 514, my men greatly outnumbering the defending ones also with artillery and armored support (I had an extended timeline mod on) and I click "assault" and they charge
