Author Topic: Remote Blockland Console  (Read 5500 times)

Alright, I'll lay off. I don't need to waste day arguing the same thing I've already stated, plus I can't even personally use the thing anyway (linux, more ideal to use a native solution), plus I doubt it has a virus or anything.

If this software had cryptography in it on the other hand, I'd be all up in here - you can't trust closed source cryptography. (That's just shifting the argument though, I really am done here)are you positive that wasn't either my telchat mod (that no one ever used) or DrenDran's server control mod (that a decent amount of people used)?
The whole thing is full of cryptography.

how the forget

what does it need crypto for?

Protecting his proprietary code? Somehow I doubt it's crypted, but if it is I can guarantee the reason is that he doesn't want people to decompile it for reasons he already posted.

Is this app what some hosts use to access a server without actually opening Blockland?  Technically, they are not inside the server, yet they can still access the chat and even add input?

Well, uh. You can do this on any dedicated server using the console.

Yup, indeed a regular dedicated server allows for what XR-7 said.

For clarification, this software includes a version of the dedicated server console. It allows access from clients remotely, via the remote console client app that comes with it.

For example, I can access my dedicated server consoles on my VPS, from my desktop without having to remote desktop in.

I've been working on a node.js remote panel solution. (all in 1 script, webserver, launching blockland, reading console ect)
It features:

remote console
file uploading
add-on management
viewable web chat (read your server's chat)
and a login system (users can register and order a server online, and get instant access (after the server generates of course))

its not finished however, not sure what ill do with it when im done either. may just release the source (free of charge maybe :D)
Damn, you beat me to the Node.js front-end of Daprog's RC program!
Anyway, I'm not going to make my web frontend because I'm involved with enough control panel stuff already. Working hard on HammerHost's control panel.
By the way, I have a question about the remote console program:
Is the console window of Blockland blank when you use this?

There seems to be no way to fix it. It would be better if the dedi server console wasnt there at all.

Okay. I have the same problem. Just wanted to know if C# code has the same problem.

There is no agreement that says I can't decompile your .net assemblies.
Thats as stupid as saying "here I will use this car on the street, it's locked bet there is no sign saying I should not unlock it."
If you do not trust the code, then just do not use it.
I posted this to help other people in my situation. You are free to choose to use it or not, nothing is imposed.

Wat 2 do!? ;~;
Do you get that error uppon pressing the launch button or when you start the application?

That being said, the code appears to be clean.
fail link?
