Just, out of curiosity... are mod makers allowed to use sites such as ad.fly when they post links to content (Add-Ons) they've created for Blockland, on these forums, provided they own the rights to all content in them and every program used to make them?

I own a Pro license for SketchUp so I was curious if Badspot put anything into the license agreement regarding this. I'd PM him directly but my account is somehow perma-banned from the PM system... All these years and I still don't know how that happened, I just couldn't use it one day and that was that. No explanation, no notification, it was just gone. I know it was around the time he joined my server and chewed me out for being stupid though... :s

Hm, are you sure? It's just a redirection site that displays a few ads for five seconds. It's not much different than the ads displayed on MediaFire and the like, the only difference is the owner of the content actually sees a small percentage of what little money those ads make.

If it is in fact against the rules, well, fine. I'd like to hear it from Baddy himself though.

Nobody should be expecting money or payment for making Blockland add-ons - it's a service to the community. Take satisfaction out of the fact people are using and enjoying your thing and then go mow some lawns.

I'll be removing ad.fly stuff if people start using it - it's a cheap way of trying to monetize someone else's userbase.
