youtube's channel art system seems to be really weird, whenever i tried to make a banner it told me it was the wrong resolution, even when i had it at the suggested size

i have played tf2
i'm not trying to start an argument here (even though I seem to have failed at that)
but I downloaded it and played it for a few hours. It's literally any generic shooter ever. There's nothing wrong with shooters, but why is this so much better than Black Ops? Because it has a comedic undertone? Because it's made by Valve?

It's mindless firing at other players. Maybe I'm missing something, but at it's core its the same as every other shooter.

So, back to channel art. My suggestion is to do it yourself - it's quite easy and you would get to pick exactly where stuff goes. Youtube has an overlay thing that you can place in an image editor so you can crop the thing correctly.

People like it because its pretty balanced out and requires team effort instead of mindless shoot-at-the-other-guys-to-win
every class has a counter or two.
You and you're team need to try to build yourself so you can tackle any attackers and hold them off while doing the objective.
also TF2 has tons of weapons that are vastly different from each other, allowing tons of different strategies.

how do I lower the size?
I can't lower the amount of pixels the image has, because then youtube won't accept it
