You guys need to use sticky notes for those cams.

Also, kids don't have the same rights in a school as they do outside in the world. If a teacher thinks your friend's mom's guinea pig's dog's red blood cell was smoking pot, they can randomly search your backpack and locker for probable cause.

o i thought the computers stayed at the school. if they monitor them when the student is at home that's forgeted up
Exactly my point. I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was only at school.

a trojan is malicious, a security program is not
The program may not be malicious, but who says the teachers aren't? Again, if they weren't keylogging or webcam spying I wouldn't have that much of an issue with it but what they're doing is so over the top invasive. Things like being able to look through the files and look at the content on the screen is fine, that's what they gotta do, but again, over the top invasive stuff they're choosing to do.

I find it interesting how your description of the school went from taking away use of a web browsing software to BREAKING THE loving LAW. What your school is doing is illegal. Seriously, tell someone about this. Your parents, the school, the police, anyone in person. Get this school shut down. The only thing I can think of that prevents you from taking any action is if it's a private school. If that's the case, you can't do much.

Or maybe you're just trolling.

Go complain to the teachers' union.

but it isn't illegal

but it isn't illegal

I think it would be illegal if the webcam was used to monitor you, and even then you'd need proof. If they called you out on something you did in your home, they could get in trouble since that'd be your proof. If memory serves, this has happened in the past and they did get in trouble for it. Everything else is meh because as you've said, it's their property, they choose what you do on it.

I'm bypassing my school's filters right now with google translate.
