How can I edit a bitmap image to change the palette? I need an 8bit palette and I want to have it organized. I can use the current one I have but for some reason, the colors are mixed up and it is hard remembering the indexes. Don't ask why I need it because I won't say why. According to some sites, it can be freely modified. The first 2 bits are unused, the next 2 bits are for R, the next 2 for Green and the last 2 for blue. I can't find the values for them anywhere using a hex editor or using plain old notepad. Anyone know a good program or tips on how to do this?
