Author Topic: whelp my computer got forgeted up  (Read 1057 times)

so yeah as the title says my new-ish computer ended up dying

basically what happened was on that day i installed emergency 4 through the disk and downloaded the LA mod (which i know is trustful since i downloaded it from the same site before and nothing bad happened) and then i played it a bit and began playing SA-MP. I was on some RP server playing as a cop and tried exiting a hospital and it ended up freezing so i was like "ok i know that's normal because the hospital hates me and does this kind of stuff" and so i restarted the computer. When it started up again, it started a lot more slower. I tried opening the desktop but it wouldn't as if frozen. I had to restart the computer at the start screen a couple times before finally, after a slow response, it opened up. This was extremely unusual since the computer always started up and went to desktop mode in just a few seconds. I tried opening up Google Chrome and after another slow response time it opened up. I tried going onto the forums or YouTube and it ended up freezing and crashing. I ended up getting this small, empty window titled "Microsoft Windows" that had literally nothing in it. This was also popping up a couple times before. I then tried to restart again, and this time it didn't. Instead I got the ":( Oops, something went wrong." screen. I went to advanced options and tried to use System Restore and tried to go back earlier that day, but after some loading it said "Restore point could not be found" and some other stuff. I tried going back even earlier to 3 days before and it said the same thing. I tried going back even more earlier and it said something beyond the lines of "Memory at 0x0000[numbers] referenced memory at 0x00000[numbers]. Memory could not be found." It then began saying this for every time I tried to use System Restore. I tried restarting AGAIN and some system repair thing came up. It went back to the frowning face and I noticed under it the error "CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED". So at this time I just know i'm screwed. I try everything but it only comes down to one thing; putting it down. I'm gonna see if later on today I can format it and try to start off a new. Of course it's gonna be a pain re-installing everything, but maybe i'll find out actually what happened.

My best bet is that what went wrong was that it had something to do with the computer, not what was on it or what I did.

return the computer with gunpoint

Oh, and also i'm now using another computer that crashed a month earlier and is now running on Vista. My grandmother said I could install some of my games on it but the thing is though is that I don't know what caused the other computer to crash so I don't want to risk anything.

This happened to me once. I ended up restoring it.

Is your computer new? (buydate)<1month

got it on january

got it on january

It should be a error when the computer was fabricated, your ROM got out of the place, or a super virus ate it.

whelp.

blast from the past.

we're installing Vista onto the computer now and gonna upgrade it to Windows 7. After that, we're going to use the Windows 8 reinstallation disc that came with it. Hopefully it'll work.

why the forget not just get 7 and leave it at that

i got a new computer not to long ago and i keep getting a CCC error when I sign out :I
i just close it and its fine after that

well the vista disc is pretty much the only full version of vista there is. The Windows 7 one is an upgrade disc and the Windows 8 Re-installation disc didn't work at first.

if you would post the BSoD error code or whatever it is that you're seeing, maybe we could help you un-kill your PC.

Just looks like ram went stuff. Easy and cheap fix

well damn

we tried re-installing windows 7

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements to upgrade to Windows 7"
