Are Europeans the same way?
I'm not European, but I would say they're probably a good bit more open about it.
In my soc class my prof actually gave a few examples around the world of this kind of thing.
In japan they actually have a snake festival, I think this is it:

Thing is if men don't imminently recoil form the sight of a richard they're assumed gay and that's bad.
And if women don't, then they're sluts.
Same thing really doesn't happen with vaginas lol
These days (at least here anyway) you're probably not going to see a man get insulted for being too promiscuous or a woman for being lesbian.
