I saw something on the news that was similar to this.  They made it so much feel lol.  A guy in his upper 30s was completely deaf for his whole life, and doctors were able to cause him to hear again.  He went to church and heard his daughter sing for the first time.

Furling should see this.

That's awesome! Incredible how technology has developed - not necessarily all good - but this is definitely amazing.
