As a general rule, asking hosts for add-ons is an extremely annoying thing to do. If it's your only option then it's okay, but the way you phrased this made it seem like that's the first thing he should have done. Just because the host has the add-on doesn't mean he's obligated to help you get it, so you shouldn't expect them to.

in this particular case, the person saying to ask the host actually is the host
but also in this case, asking the host for it really is the only option, since it was apparently not uploaded posted anywhere other than RTB for some reason

Asking the forum is a more appropriate way to get it. I doubt Cca is the only person in the entire game who has the add-on, and since he replied to this thread he should have just posted a link if he was willing to help. He's more being a richard and acting like he wants to be personally begged for the add-on though.
