But gluten has nothing at all to do with animals...
It comes from wheat, and a few other grains...
whoops my bad i meant gelatin

Not that everyone will go vegan but it raises the question, what would happen to farmyard animals without a nutritional purpose?

Cows are only good for meat and milk.
You can plow fields with them if lack the money or resources to own a tractor. Also leather.

Plowing tends to be something you do with male oxen, rather than dairy cows.
They can be used, but it's not common.

And I would assume that for most people who lack resources or money for owning any form of tractor, that purchasing cattle is also expensive for them. Not to say it isn't a solution.

And, given this hypothetical situation where everyone has turned vegan I doubt that many would appreciate the slaughtering of the millions of cows just for leather. Really, that leaves a lot of cow left over, seeing as how cows killed for meat today still have their hides tanned into leather.
And I suppose the only reason to use their meat is in order to feed pets.

It isn't like everybody instantly will go vegan. If everybody slowly went vegan, demand would slowly drop and animal farms would slowly downsize. There would likely be little waste.
the point of what I said is not to raise up a scenario where everyone turns vegan, but instead it's to raise the question off what would happen to the leftover animals that provided more supply than there was demand for.

I'm not against killing for food but if you do it for the hell of it go die in a hole

Pigs are only really good for meat and blood pudding.

!!!!

Everyone ate loving meat for thousands of years. Now they choose to eat plants which are READILY available 3 months out of the year, while animals are available at any time of the year? I don't get vegans, they all think everyone but vegans are the low level of society.

Not all vegans are like that, just the starfish ones--and let's face it, there are starfishs in every group of people whether they're vegans or not.

I know a vegan who refuses to eat meat because animals are treated unethically. That's perfectly fine reasoning, and even better, she isn't in-your-face about it.
