Author Topic: Your Known Viruses. (Download Virus Vote Recount?)  (Read 3405 times)

Torrented some (free) software cause the download was faster. Some skid RAT'd it. I was able to kill it with ease without AV since it was darkcomet garbage.
This was a week ago!

I'm still trying to get rid of some annoying virus that pops up in the bottom right corner of the internet browser on the family computer occasionally. The virus box is small and has ad links in it. It's white and orange with a logo on top that sorta looks like the skype logo. The difference is that its green, doesn't have the s in the middle, and isn't filled in.
I've tried superantispyware, malwarebytes, microsoft security essentials, and multiple avast programs.
If one of you know what this is, tell me how to remove it and I will love you forever.

EDIT: On that same computer, I can't download files and open them instantly. After downloading them, it says that the file is blocked. I have to go to the properties and unblock it everytime I download something. It's really a hassle and itd be great if I knew how to fix that
hmm have you tryed uninstalling stuff?

my brother had two infections called jay-z.exe and drake.exe
i think he was trying to pirate music

...
just saying try to find the "Programs" name and delete it right from the sorce.

I once got a rootlit infection, was a bitch to remove

i keep getting weird stuff that tries to throw popups with research site ads on them
i have no idea where it comes from but malwarebytes takes it out or something.
apparently i never noticed because adblockplus blocked the popups or some weird stuff like that

look all i know is that there's stuff in my external pages accessed log that's not in my internal browsing history and i never saw any of it. and it goes away after i do a malwarebytes scan.
