A long time ago (when i was like 13-14) Id get a stuff ton of viruses on my computer, mainly because it was when i started to try and find research sites and going to some VERY sketchy places.
Got a stuff ton of trojans and stuff from that. Didn't know how to fix it and my computer was already bad because a thunderstorm made it extremely hard to turn on, so I said "forget it" and shorted out the computer so my mom wouldnt know.

Same thing happened later by accident, though i actually knew how to get rid of it (kinda)
It stopped me from doing a system restore or opening up my task manager so I had to start it up in safe mode and i did a factory reset. Not like it mattered since it was a hand me down from my grandparents and it was already slow as is. Could barely go on chrome.
 
On my laptop i had some issues, though i don't know if it was a virus or just my computer messing up, but a very important program was deleted on my computer I think and so the computer took forever to turn on and when you logged in it would take forever to do anything. Soon it wouldn't even go into the login menu, so we had to do a reset on it and it worked perfect after that.

On my current computer I have been a LOT smarted and haven't gotten anything yet. I guess having all these mess ups actually helped me.

I think my laptop got infected by a keylogger once. That was a major pain in the butt.

I've gotten Moneypak and something sketchy is going on with my Java... or was anyway. Microsoft security essentials stomped that stuff out.

I've gotten a few trojans where they change your default search engine, but I know how to get rid of those quickly, plus they're obvious so I notice them right away.

I once got one that made the computer have nothing but a white screen, no way to exit out, and booting in safe mode didn't make a difference. I had to take it in for repairs and the only way they could get rid of it was by resetting it to an earlier state.
