Military Summary: "As a sea-faring empire, most of their small armies consist of archers and light footmen mostly carrying Ax's. However, they do have dismounted knights, but are heavily lacking in cavalry."
Infantry:Bågskyttar (Archers)A great amount of the armies of Stormemark rely on archers, whether it be captains of ships or kommendörs on land, you'll see that there'll be plenty of bows among the ranks.
Anfallare (Raiders)The backbone of the empire, these light armored units are among the most common you'll see on the battlefield, be it on sea or land.
Vakter (Guards)While they aren't ever seen on the battlefield, you'll find them to be the second most well armed and armored units in the empire, and while they aren't trained for battle on the seas, they're quite good on land for stormemark standards, and a trio of them can even give a seasoned knight trouble
Krigare (Warriors)The most advanced of the units in the empire, there are few in armies, but many in total, and while they may not like fighting on land, they're eager to sully the sea with your blood.
Stråtrövare (Brigands)The least aggressive unit, they act as looters and assassins, they're better at stealth and boarding enemy ships than they are on the front-lines, and make for excellent scouts.
Lätta ryttare (Light Riders)The cavalry forces whom prize speed and maneuverability over brute charging force, these riders are renown for riding in with clean swords and riding out moments later with blades soaked in blood.
Hästlöse (Dismounted Knights)While not the most advanced unit in terms of gear, they're the smartest and most dangerous units. They can be both found on ships and on land, and shooting arrows at them will most likely just piss them off unless you know exactly where to hit them. They're the most aggressive units in the empire.
Män-at-arms (Men at arms)One of the more well armed units, Men-at-arms are dangerous and are often seen in Britannian armies due to their vast numbers in the southern Britannian populace.
Skottland krigare (Scottish Warbands)Feared in both the north and south of Britannia, Scottish Warbands are fearsome and highly numerous warriors from the north of Britannia. While most may not be well armed or armored, and some may even fight nude, numbers and pure chaotic rage is what makes them some of the most fearsome warriors in the Stormemark armies.
Armborstmän (Crossbowmen) Crossbowmen, while they may be in fewer numbers than archers, there are still great amounts of them. They are usually armed with a deployable tower shield as well, so they may set up positions and /not/ get picked off by enemy peltasts or archers.
Hundmän (Warhound Handlers)These are men who are brave or foolish enough to handle the bloodthirsty hounds within the armies. Most handlers may be missing two or so fingers from having their hounds bitten them off, these are the ones who survived such injuries through whatever means they went through to ensure their own survival. What's scarier than a naked man running at you with a axe? A starved, enraged hound stalking after you with sharp teeth and the sole intent to kill and feast.
Långrosett män (Longbow men)Just beginning to become noticed in Stormemark armies, these are the rarest of the ranged units in the kingdom. With longbows usually composed of yew or oak or whatever the forget they find, these men kick major ass and stuff. Idk, loving longbow men, you have the gist of it with that.
