I think its more newsworthy that Microsoft actually left this exploit into their system and it was discovered first by a five year old after the system was out for quite a few months

I'd say its also more newsworthy for Tech Sites who know what they are talking about to report, rather than CNN

Actually its more like accidentally leaving one chemical in another chemical and getting something very useful incidentally.
