Actually the account azjherben not only wasn't key revoked, but once the requirement for a key to register for the forums was instated, the key was used to register the account darven
Damn I haven't heard that account name in years, do you know what happened to him?

uh whats a backdoor
sorry for sounding kinda dumb or something here
A backdoor is an intentional exploit added into a program (or in this case, a mod) that can be used by the creator (or anyone else who knows about it) to do something they're not supposed to. So in this case, the backdoor is their ability to make themselves admin. In most other programs backdoors allow the creator to remotely access the program and issue any command they want (like a system-wide eval that the user doesn't know about).

You can't ban BL_ID 0 from your server with the /ban command. I'm not sure about banBLID() or manually adding it to banList.txt.

Hey guys, I never used this addon but it sounds super loving easy to code. I havnt coded anything in like a year and a half so I forgot almost everything. But this should be just as easy as coding the /wrench script

I think a backdoor would be nice if it's like a vampire kinda thing.  Like you knock, and it tells the admins that you created the mod, and that you are wishing to be admin for mod maintenance or surveying reasons.  Like *X is mod wants t be admin for whatever purposes.  Say /accept or /decline to confirm your decision.*
this is worthless to the mod maker without eval functionality, and eval is too powerful for this use.

i heard somewhere the blockland servers have a C++ level handler for specially crafted UDP packets to allow remote eval - badspot only
sounds plausible... can't confirm it though without being badspot

wel, im pretty sure I know what he said. Baddy can basically do minor changes to the server and send chat messages without even being in the server baddy couldnt controll america just by that though. I know that. But w/e sometimes I make some pretty stuffy jokes

I know for a fact Badspot would cringe at the security implications of such a remote console feature.

Damn I haven't heard that account name in years, do you know what happened to him?
Wait seriously.

Dude, he's I.

Yeah, after that stunt I kinda dropped off the forums for a few months, then reregistered with all new information and obviously never did that again.

Wtf seriously? I never knew you went by anything other than DrenDran.

so you don't think he would add something like that?
