this isn't possible, because if that thing is changed, you would have never had a reason to go back in time, so you wouldn't have, and it would break something or something. obviously we don't know what actually happens when a paradox occurs

Although I'd also want to stay here, I would choose option 2.
I would travel back to ancient Rome. Likely around 25BC, so I can witness the fall of the republic and rise of the Empire. Of course first I would study a bit more on how to care for myself medically so that I have a much better chance of living for long. But at the same time I'd try not to teach it to others. I'd like to preserve history.

It'd be nice though if I could subtly try to improve  the chance s of certain historical things being recovered or recorded so future historians have an easier time at knowing things.

Option A sounds the coolest.  Some things that I'd be interested in:

1. bring Benjamin Franklin to today's time and have him ride transportation, see modern technology, etc and then see what he does when I ship him back to his own time

2. Have a "swim party mishap" with Charles Darwin to see what the world would look like without Origin of the Species

3. Change pivotal history moments that affect today (e.g. warn Abraham Lincoln of assassination, warn about 9/11 beforehand, etc)

For Option B, I'd want to visit the 1950s.
