Just a castle that I have been working on this weekend.
I started on Friday, and this is where I'm at right now:

Overall front view

Main gate

When you walk into the gate

Side view

Back view with the stained glass window

Ground view of the tallest tower

Separate building, idk what it could be.

View of the front right before you go inside

Main hall/throne room with the stained glass window

Cathedral cielings+pillars

Another view of the throne

Staircase (yes, it's tall)

2nd floor balcony view of the main hall/throne room

View from the tallest tower

Throne

Style of architecture: Gothic

This is my first castle.
What should I add to the main hall/throne room?
Should I add another tall tower just for decoration?

hot/10
but I suggest you use the rounded things in the one random brick pack for columns

oooh, very nice. the colors are very cool. in order not to ruin the simplistic style, i guess you should just add more interiors, honestly. it's very appealing

if anything, maybe flesh out the grounds around the castle, add some more hedges?

Ho Lee Sheet.
Btw, there was a candle emitter for these candles.

And where did you get these torches?

And where did you get these torches?
It's actually a weapon, he used them as props here

Woah nice roof edging with the arches. I'll probably steal that idea for my own builds at some point in the far future c:

I recommend adding more colors to the interrior.

The walls, railing, and floor blend in wwaaayyyy, too much.

Wow, amazing and beautiful build, 7/10

The first impression is fairly nice. The colorscheme brings mediterranean castles to mind.

Now the critique.

Firstly, was this intended to be a decorative residential castle or a proper keep? I'm assuming the former as it's mostly lacking in defensive and functional features, so I'll critique it as a decorative castle.

I'm also questioning the vaulting of the throne room. The arches seem much too shallow for the space, and actually look like they'd be prone to collapse. I'd advise you make the arches much higher and sharper, especially since you're calling the style gothic. Pointed arches define gothic architecture, especially when used structurally, yet at the moment all the structural uses of pointed arches I can see are the doorways. These are hardly enough to justify calling the whole castle gothic. I'd advise using pointed vaulting in the throne room and a large pointed arch above the stained glass window, as at the moment it would not support the weight of the walls above it.

On a closer look, it really feels like it could be a set from a Hollywood movie. I don't know whether that's good or bad, but personally I dislike it. There are a lot of historical and structural aspects of both castles and the gothic style I feel like you could dig deeper into, if realism is what you aim for.

Concerning your questions, the throne room could maybe include a long dining table at either side, and perhaps banners hanging at the sides of the hall.

Instead of adding another tall tower, you should increase the height of the central section of the keep, to allow for a taller throne room ceiling with pointed vaulting.

The walls, railing, and floor blend in wwaaayyyy, too much.
That's a matter of lighting. Direct sunlight or stronger interior lighting would negate the blending.

I personally dislike it, like ladezkik. no castle is 4 walls then a building snack dab in the center. I really dislike it when people so that, because that is nothing what castles were like. try blending some of the buildings into the walls. it's okay for a first, but the fact that you only build decorative cookie cutter houses as your usual builds really shows in this.

I think is inspired by Dragon Quest. not a real castle tho.

I think is inspired by Dragon Quest.
hehehe

also this is amazing.
10/10

Use 72 degree ramps for the roofs, and overhang them by 1

Otherwise pretty good
