Author Topic: ever heard of fostering?  (Read 1627 times)

if you go to a shelter and ask to volunteer, they might give you the option to foster, which is where is any animal doesnt have room to stay at the shelter, they can stay with you, only thing is the shelter pays for its vet bills, litter, and food, its pretty much a constant rotation of free cats

i. . . i think i need a minute :'] (greatest moment ever)

free dinner?
hahaha, funny asian joke, but seriously, free cats

they aren't "free cats," you're volunteering to keep one for a while, until someone else adopts them. also, I'm pretty sure they don't pay for food or litter, and probably not vet bills either. that would defeat the purpose of fostering animals

but think about it, you dont pay a rediculous amount to buy a cat

They get better homes and don't have to be stored in a vet/shelter?

How about...
buy a cat.
They cost like 25 bucks at my local pet smart as adults.

How much are they where you are?

you don't pay a ridiculous amount to buy a cat anyway? don't buy kittens from pet stores...

any no-kill shelter is surely gonna have adequate housing for their animals. fostering is to save money

wtf they're $300 over here, we get dogs worth $750 too.

My cat was $110. That covered adoption process, several vaccines, a neutering, toys, and some assorted food samples. Good deal IMO.

Most of our dogs are purebreds though. We've spent as much as $2000 on adopting a single dog before.

ugh

I have a pure breed jack russel, paid 4,500$ for it.Divide that price by 1000. (45$) Though the owners wanted 200$ for it, but my dad was good friends with him, so he talked it down.

I'd say he was worth it, he's nice and is always energetic.
