Just curious to see what your blood types are.I'm an O-.
O- is the best universal donor. People with O- that donate blood save lots of lives with their blood donations.

You have to know what your blood type is at all times, Lets create a scenario here.
Lets say that you're walking on the sidewalk and theres some shady stranger wearing some dark colored hoodie when its not even cold out. He shanks your stomach and runs off. Some guy runs up to you and grabs you and takes you to the hospital. Everyone starts panicking thinking "What do we do!?! WHAT DO WE DO!??" So they ask you what your blood type is and you don't know your blood type so you lay there on the ground saying "I don't know!". They need to know your blood type for them to restore your blood levels. They can't give you some random blood type because your immune system will attack it like its a virus and you'll die even faster.

Blood tests can be done very quickly to find out what blood type you have.
It's not crucial that you know what you have, but it's good to know.

It can be good to know if you have a family so you know if you can give/recieve blood from a relative in an emeregency.


That said, I don't know mine without checking my medical records.
We did some tests in my Biology class last year to find out (ABO blood groups, but not Rhesus blood groups), but unfortunately I couldn't get my fingers to bleed everytime I pricked them, and I just ended up with sore fingers.

In science class we were learning about how having certain genes effect your blood type and such. My teacher brought blood tests for those that want to try it out. You guys have no idea how hard it is to self inflict damage to yourself. We had these really sharp small metal sticks that you puncture a hole in your finger with. If it doesn't bleed you have to make it bleed by twisting the bladed stick a little. Then you have to squeeze your blood and put it in 3 different fluids. Whatever fluid reacted with your blood would determine your blood type.

Lol, I would insert a device with a tiny sharp needle and it would tell the blood type on the screen. Doesn't hurt at all, forget what blood type it was tho.
