I find it funny how people don't trust teachers being armed. There's little in difference between a teacher and a police officer except physical training. And besides, gun safety isn't difficult to teach.

I'd feel more safer if there was a police officer by the door in the hallway than a crazy 60 year old woman carrying a gun who is constantly messed with by her students.

I think having a gun wouldn't help matters at all. Imagine, you have to shoot the shooter through people that are running away. Besides that, once you pull out the gun, who knows which one is the real shooter? If you shoot the real murderer, people will just think in a panic that you're actually the murderer, and shoot you instead. And if the person you shot dies, you'd probably be arrested since it's illegal to use lethal force, even in self defense.

I think you people don't understand what it means when teachers would be armed. We don't need to arm the entire school to the teeth, one or two teachers who can easily be trusted with a handgun should be enough.

And you know what, what if the teacher is the honor student? The teacher could easily shoot many of the students before another member of the school staff can leave reach the class. Even then, most of the times classroom doors are locked and are only openable from the inside.

Its not necessarily the reaction a bunch of armed citizens will have, but the threat the shooter acknowledges if he?she knows that there are armed people there.  Its kindof like getting dared to place your hand on a hot grill for ten seconds and deciding not to because forget that grills hurt

my school is properly trained in the event that an intruder breaks into the school
no guns are involved (a couple tazers though)
i find it more of a mental health issue than a defenseless public issue

quite honestly i wouldnt feel very safe with some of my teachers possessing a gun

i think you're forgetting that the majority (if not all of them) of these Flash Mobs are insane/mentally unstable
