I hope this doesn't kick you in the ass later..

Honestly if it's anything like my El Camino has been, it will. It's gonna be hard but its something I like to do yknow? It's not set in stone yet though. I can at this point change my mind (not likely)

Please check it there is frame degradation or anything seriously wrong with it.

You can't fix a broken frame unless you really want to dump money into it or you find someone who has a frame (unlikely).

I will. B body frames are easier to come by in this part of the country though. I could get a parts car with one, more than likely.

It won't lol, you could scrap it for like 450-500

That's what im saying, if it turns out to be a bad restoration car, i will sell the good parts and scrap it. It's an old, steel, heavy ass car.

I decided not to get the car. I popped the hood and the engine didn't look what I expected. Looked smaller than a big block so I did some deeper reading into the Coronets and what not and found out that 440, as it says on the fender was just a trim package. Had 17 different models, but damn what a bummer. This car has a v8 318 small block, nothing cool.

Well maybe I'll find another cool car and get lucky haha.

Or you can do what my dad did with his foxbody Mustang. Completely rebuild the engine for a large project.

um thats 30 yards? either you or your bow suck

oh dear god its a loving recurve thats your problem what are you doing with that in the 21st century

the thing is, the engine was the jewel of the car, being a 440 and all. but since it only has a 318 i just dont think of it as good.

okay my step dad knew all about this right? my real dad didnt though, the one im working on my elc with. i was gonna surprise him with it, but now that i decided against it i told him about how i could get it for 300 and he wants it lol. he texted me back,"holy stuff 1970 mopar $300 youre a loving liar"

Even with the 318?

even with. i called him after the text and explained to him that 440 was just a trim package with this car. he said "what does it have? a 318?" and i just laughed lol
